Dr. Wanda Duong has always been fascinated by health and science, and her passion for Chinese medicine began in childhood when she saw it heal her family’s illnesses. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary and a diploma in natural nutrition before embarking on the field of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

As a competitive dragon boat paddler, Wanda has developed a deep understanding of the importance of sports medicine acupuncture in preventing and treating injuries. With a special focus on recovery and injury rehabilitation, she has helped many athletes and active individuals overcome muscle and joint pain through the use of sports medicine acupuncture. Her firsthand experience as a competitive athlete has given her a unique perspective on the importance of holistic, preventative care for maintaining peak physical performance.

Wanda’s treatments are a blend of traditional Chinese medicine and sports medicine acupuncture, allowing her to assess and treat a wide range of conditions, including muscle and joint pain, work-related injuries, pregnancy, anxiety, stress, immune support, sleep issues, and digestion. She brings different modalities to her practice such as cupping, gua-sha, moxibustion, auricular therapy, diet therapy, and Chinese herbal formulas to provide the best care possible for her patients.

Wanda is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their health goals and values their life stories and health journeys. Her ultimate goal is to use a holistic approach to healing and health to help her patients enjoy all aspects of their everyday lives. When she’s not practicing acupuncture, Wanda loves to travel with her husband, watch movies, and cuddle with her dogs.
