Dr. Lynda Smith is an accomplished and highly regarded herbalist, acupuncturist, and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with over 27 years of experience treating patients in Calgary. She is widely recognized for her extensive knowledge in a variety of areas, including Herbology, Iridology, Homeopathics, Nutrition, sports medicine, acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is dedicated to providing her patients with the highest quality care.

Dr. Smith’s unwavering dedication to continuous self-improvement and professional development is evident in her extensive training and certifications. She has completed the first level of Auricular Medicine from the Auricular Medicine International Research and Training, instructed by distinguished experts Dr. Li-Chuan Huang and Dr. William S. Huang. Furthermore, she has augmented her knowledge in Acupuncture Sports Medicine (with Whitfield Reaves), 5 Element Acupuncture (with Professor Neil Gumnick) and earned her first-level certification in heat-sensitive transmitting moxibustion under the guidance of the highly-regarded Dr. Chen Rixin. Moreover, she is a recognized Acupuncture Detox Specialist (ADS) by the National Acupuncture and Detox Association.
From 2021 to 2022, Dr. Lynda Smith assisted in the Complementary Health Integration Program (CHIP), a research program in collaboration between ACATCM and the University of Calgary, which studied the value complementary health practices can add to low-income and marginalized individuals in Calgary.
In addition to her private practice at the Integrative Health Centre in Inglewood, Dr. Smith is actively involved in numerous volunteer organizations, including the YYC Acupuncture Relief Project (YARP), which provided essential care to those affected by the floods in Calgary and surrounding areas. She is also a member of several professional associations, including the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA), National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA), and Acupuncture Without Borders (AWB). Dr. Smith currently serves as the President of the Committee of Licensed Acupuncture Practitioners of Alberta (CLAPA).
